	The entrance way to Willows Reach farmstay in Kumeu Auckland is through a stone pillared gateway and up an avenue of Liquid amber trees which are spectacular in the autumn.
	The courtyard at the lodge gives you the opportunity to admire the dry stone walls that surround the home paddocks, orchard and retreat haven garden.
	A gate leads off the courtyard onto the lawn where there are several trees that you can relax and sit under to read. The Silk trees are especially beautiful in January to February when they are in flower.
	Set amongst the stonewalls are several rustic features one of which is an English church"lynch gate" styled entrance. They all enhance the beauty of the surroundings.
	At the end of the day a quiet rest in the stone ruin overlooking the lake can often be enhanced by a glass of wine from the local vineyards. You may wish to have your breakfast here and watch the ducks and fish amongst the water-lilies.
	The Retreat haven is a favorite with  our guests who like to relax with coffee and music or to read a book .
	Alongside the Retreat haven is the fernery where you can walk through and it is not unusual to see one of New Zealand's native birds the "Fantail" playing amongst the larger tree ferns.
	For those who like to rise earlyand go for garden walks the country delights are enhanced by the early morning light.
	Willows Reach is a picturesque country environment in any season. This gate leads down to the stables and onto the boatshed.
	For guests who want to commune with nature the ambiance of the Boat shed past the stables is a favourite. Here you can unwind by watching the waterfowl swimming on the creek
