We are open for garden tours by appointment all year during weekdays
Our gardens offer you a picture perfect backdrop for your wedding photos or a venue for boutique wedding ceremonies.
Beautiful tranquil gardens to wander around during your weekend retreat or for a New Zealand country experience.
Garden Clubs or Groups please ask about our 3 garden tours and morning tea or lunch at Soljans package
The wildflower garden with red poppies in the foreground at the entrance way looks it's best during October to December
The right side of the entrance has our sign and this year the wildflowers have colour matched with the yellow.(a fluke of nature!) Look at our stunning driveway it looks spectacular with it's autumn colours.
At the top of the driveway is the smallest goldfish pond which features our naked lady fountain. The maples on the edge are repeated throughout our beautiful gardens.
You can wander around the lake which is outside your room. This is a view from the pathway at the beach end.
A very tranquil view through the willow trees to the jetty on the lake
Dry stone walls are a feature of our gardens and this is the entrance to our retreat haven where you can relax with a book or listen to music. The rose on the arbor is Veilchenblau.
The retreat haven garden has a fernery on one side to reflect Geoff's New Zealand heritage and an English cottage garden on the other for Jenny.
The beach end of the lake provides a wonderful backdrop for bridal party photos or for boutique wedding ceremonies.
When you walk along the path at the back of the pond look out for the fairy dell under one of the willow trees.
In the orchard is this lovely dovecote covered in varigated ivy which is used by our pouter pigeons. In the foreground are geraniums.
The rose "Sally Holmes" loves the heat from the dry stone walls and flowers for us 3 times a year if deheaded. This year the foxgloves have been spectacular and I am spreading the seeds down in the wildflower garden at the front entrance.
