A romantic room for a couple

Relax in this unique large room which is painted dark green with lovely warm rimu wood panelling. All the wooden furniture has been hand made by a local manufacturer and is also rimu which is a native timber of New Zealand. The room is in a fishing lodge theme giving you a true kiwi experience.


Leave here relaxed and rested having slept in our comfortable bed

The very comfortable queensize bed has quality linen and woollen blankets in summer and down blankets in winter plus an electric blanket. Luxury robes are also provided.

Available in your room

The 32inch LCD TV is wall mounted and easy to move to view either from the two seater leather couch or from the bed.

The wardrobe has an ironing board and iron and space to store a suitcase. There is also another luggage rack and a storage space under the window seat to store any smaller bags.

We have made sure that there is good lighting in the room to read by in bed, sitting on the couch or when writing at the desk.

There is a gas heater for your comfort in the winter.

In the fridge complimentary:

* wine (your choice of white or sparkling)
* water
* fruit juice

In your room complimentary:

* tea, coffee or chocolate
* port
* cheese and fruit platter with biscuits
* chocolates
* red wine ( if that is your choice)


Views from your room

Enjoy the various garden views from the room the largest being the view to the lake under one of the large willow trees but another favorite is the fernery where early in the morning fantails can be seen chasing their breakfast.

Your ensuite


The ensuite has a large tiled shower and the glass doors are etched with the New Zealand native toi toi plants and if you sit on the toilet and look at it you get a surprise!! This was done by artist
Karin Urmersbach-Nierbach
of KUrved Lines a local artist.

There is underfloor heating in here with heated towel rail and also a demister on the mirror.
The shower has satin jet with 3 different settings. We also provide a hairdryer and eco-friendly toiletries for your use.

For your good health and to look after the environment we  use safe tea tree oil based eco friendly products which are toxic free to wash our linen, dishes and clean the house with.

Your gourmet breakfast

Your breakfast can be a choice of:
* Fruit juice
* Cereal  bran, museli or weetbix or Organic swiss-bircher museli
* Cooked eggs, Bacon, Sausages,Tomatoes and Mushrooms or
* Omellete (fresh herbs or mushroom)
* Toast and homemade conserves
* Tea and Coffee.

We will provide dinner by prior arrangement.
